Local community bank Texas First Bank is proud to announce the donation of its former Hull bank building to the Hull-Daisetta Independent School District. The donation serves as a testament to the bank’s commitment to the community and to education.

Located at 7551 FM 834 in Hull, the building has been a staple in the community for over 100 years. Following Texas First’s donation in May, the building is now being used by the school district for specialized student instruction and will see some minor renovations this summer to help better serve the students and staff, while allowing for additional growth and programs in the future.
“We are thrilled to donate this building to the Hull-Daisetta school district. Since the bank first opened its doors in 1919, the community has shown us so much wonderful support, and we cannot say enough to thank them for their continued support as we now serve them from a new location in Liberty and with a deposit-accepting ATM in Daisetta,” said Matthew T. Doyle, Chairman of Texas First Bank. “When the topic of donating the building first came up, HDISD was immediately a top option. Education and the growth of our children are of the utmost importance to us at Texas First, and we couldn’t be happier to see the building continue to serve as a resource to Hull’s bright future.”
“Texas First Bank’s decision to donate the bank building to us is a blessing for the district,” said Tim Bartram, Superintendent of Hull-Daisetta ISD. “This donation will enable us to expand our programs and services, providing our students with enhanced educational opportunities and supporting the district’s operations. We are so thankful and look forward to all that is to come.”
