Matt Crable Named Chief Lending Officer

Matt Crable Chief Lending OfficerTexas First is proud to announce that Matt Crable has been named Chief Lending Officer and Advisory Director, effective January 1, 2026.

With more than two decades in banking including SBA and commercial lending, Crable has served as Regional Loan President for Galveston County at Texas First since 2024. This promotion to CLO reflects his proven leadership skills, deep lending expertise, and commitment to our community.

His vision and commitment transformed our SBA department into the strong, high-performing operation it is today, and his drive has helped our Galveston County region grow in new ways,” shared Chris Doyle, President and CEO of Texas First Bank. “As he steps into the Chief Lending Officer role, he brings not only deep institutional knowledge but a proven track record of building programs that serve Texas businesses well. Beyond his professional achievements, Crable is a trusted voice in the community banking industry and local community. He has served as a Director for the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) Leadership Division and the Houston Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (HAGGL), as well as on the Boards of local organizations including the Santa Fe Texas Education Foundation and the Economic Development Corporation for the City of Santa Fe. Crable holds a BBA and an MBA from Texas Tech University, and he graduated with distinction from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.
