What is FDIC Insurance?
At Texas First, your financial security is our top priority. As a proud member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), we provide the confidence and peace of mind that comes from knowing your deposits are protected up to applicable FDIC insurance limits.

Being FDIC insured means that the money you keep in your deposit accounts at Texas First Bank is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. If anything were ever to happen to the bank, the FDIC would step in to ensure you get your insured funds back—up to the coverage limits.
This protection is automatic for all deposit accounts. You don’t have to sign up or pay anything for FDIC coverage.
How Much of My Money is Protected?
The FDIC covers up to:
That means your total insured amount may be higher depending on how your accounts are structured. For example, an individual account, a joint account, and certain retirement accounts each have their own separate $250,000 coverage limit.
The FDIC has launched a tool at https://edie.fdic.gov that is designed to help consumers calculate their insurance coverage and learn about what the rules and limitations of deposit insurance mean for you.1
If you’re unsure how much of your money is protected, we’re happy to help you review your accounts.
