Texas First Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Acosta to Chief Transformation Officer (CTO). A new role within Texas First, Acosta will serve as both a strategic partner and operational leader, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the executive team to drive the execution of key strategic and operational priorities across the organization. In this role, Acosta will serve as the central point of coordination for high-impact initiatives, managing cross-functional projects, and driving impactful transformation across Texas First.
“We are thrilled to recognize Laura’s contributions and elevate her into this critical leadership role,” shared Chris Doyle, President and CEO of Texas First Bank. “Her banking knowledge, project management expertise, and genuine commitment to our mission position her well in leading transformation efforts across our organization. Laura embodies the spirit of community banking, and we look forward to the meaningful impact she will have as we continue to grow and serve Texans across our markets.”
Acosta brings over fifteen years of banking experience to her new role, including six years with Texas First as Business Transformation Officer. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, she is a member of the Project Management Institute, Financial Women in Texas – Houston Chapter, and the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She also actively supports Dress for Success Women of Wardrobe.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Acosta is committed to serving others. She has served as a United Way Campaign Leader for the organization and supports World Vision International and Show Hope child sponsorship programs. She is a member of Parkway Fellowship Church and enjoys cheering on her children in their sports, dance, and church activities.
“I’m a small‑town girl who grew up where community banking wasn’t just an option, it was the foundation of the community. While my career has taken me to the big city, the values and spirit of community banking have always stayed with me. Joining a community bank felt like coming home, and I truly look forward to driving operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement in this new role, while remaining true to our mission of Helping Texans Build Texas,” said Acosta.
