ClockNovember 30th – the deadline to register for FEMA disaster assistance in the wake of Hurricane Harvey is almost here!

Note: links provided in the below article will take you to third-party websites. We don’t control the content. Please review their Privacy Policy as it may differ from our Privacy Policy.

Registering online via www.DisasterAssistance.gov is the quickest way to apply. However, if you don’t have access to the internet, you can call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or visit a Disaster Recovery Center (www.fema.gov/DRC).

When you go to register, please have the following information ready:

  • Address of where the damage occurred
  • Your current mailing address and telephone number
  • Your insurance information
  • Your total household income
  • Routing and account numbers for your checking or savings account
(Texas First Bank’s routing number is 113110256.)
  • A description of all of the damage and loss that Harvey caused

Be sure to register before November 30th!

If your application was denied, you may appeal the decision. It may have been denied for several reasons, like: incomplete or incorrect information, another household claim exists, losses cannot be verified, the damage is not to your primary residence, or losses have been covered by insurance. More information regarding filing an appeal can be found here.
