Severe flooding devastated several Central Texas communities over the July 4th weekend. As part of its joint drive with Security State Bank & Trust in Fredericksburg, both banks raised over $750,000. Thank you!
On August 7th, Texas First announced that a total of $220,000 was successfully raised through its community-wide Texas Hill Country Flood Recovery Drive.
Texas First matched the first $100,000, and community bank Security State Bank & Trust in Fredericksburg joined the effort by matching the additional amount, bringing the total impact to $440,000 in flood recovery support.
Security State Bank & Trust announced on September 10th that they raised an additional $310,000, bringing the total to over $750,000!
All funds were donated to Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, a 501(c)(3) charity, that will direct funds to vetted organizations providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts, as well as flood assistance for Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort, Texas.
